Herr Metzger

Herr Metzger is an original oil painting on oval canvas of an anthropomorphic bulldog working as a butcher. This was inspired by the recently attended Butchertown Art Fair in Louisville, Kentucky. I needed a tough looking character to act as a butcher so I thought a bulldog was a fairly accurate choice. This was the introductory painting to my booth at Butchertown, which received some good reactions. It measures 16"x20"x 3/4" and is framed in wood and wired on the back for easy hanging.
