ARTIST BIO
Elizabethtown, Kentucky artist Brad McLean has been honing his skills as a painter for the past several years. Originally a portrait painter in watercolor, acrylic, and oil, he has expanded his repertoire to include landscapes, wildlife, nature, floral, homesteads, and automotive. From his home studio he produces finished works of art and commissioned pieces.
His greatest passion in painting is surrealism, but not just for the sake of the avant-garde or shock effect. His objective is a graceful union of images that express a deeper story. He seeks to use natural views to illustrate uncommon truths. He has recently begun incorporating some paint pouring into his works as well as combining some of his art with more functional pieces, such as furniture. Neither purely decorative nor exclusively philosophical, his art merges these realms into a unique and meaningful whole.
